How Apex Legends to Deadlock sensitivity conversion works
Apex shares the 0.022 Source-style scale, but Deadlock’s effective scale is 0.044. Deadlock therefore needs half the Apex number at equal DPI. Test the base camera with hero-specific sensitivity overrides disabled or accounted for.
At equal DPI, multiply your Apex Legends setting by 0.5. To reverse the conversion, divide by that factor. The number changes because the two games interpret sensitivity units differently; the distance travelled by your mouse is the quantity being matched.
Target sens = source sens × 0.5 × source DPI ÷ target DPI
For example, 1.5 in Apex Legends at 800 DPI becomes approximately 0.75 in Deadlock at 800 DPI. Both describe 34.64 cm for one complete horizontal turn before rounding. Keep the unrounded value in the tool if you plan to swap directions again.
| Apex Legends sens / DPI | Deadlock sens / DPI | Exact cm/360 |
|---|---|---|
| 1.5 / 800 | 0.75 / 800Menu: 0.75; 34.64 cm/360 after rounding. | 34.64 |
| 1.5 / 800 | 0.375 / 1600Menu: 0.38; 34.18 cm/360 after rounding. | 34.64 |
| 1.875 / 800 | 0.9375 / 800Menu: 0.94; 27.64 cm/360 after rounding. | 27.71 |
The first two rows keep the source setup fixed and change only the target DPI. The third changes source sensitivity. This separates a hardware-DPI change from an in-game sensitivity change, which is useful when comparing two saved configurations.
Settings to check in each game
Apex Legends
Settings > Mouse/Keyboard > Mouse Sensitivity
The main Mouse Sensitivity setting shares the CS2 hipfire scale in this catalog. That makes the same-DPI transfer simple, but the per-optic ADS controls are a different layer. Record those optic settings separately instead of assuming that a hipfire conversion transfers every magnification.

Deadlock
Settings > Mouse > Sensitivity > Mouse sensitivity
Deadlock’s effective horizontal yaw is 0.044 in this catalog, twice CS2’s 0.022. Deadlock 1 therefore matches CS2 2 at the same DPI. The console m_yaw alone misses the camera multiplier; do not copy a CS2 number unchanged just because both games use Source 2.

FOV and ADS: why these games can still feel different
A full-turn match does not promise equal movement across the screen. A different field of view, aspect ratio or camera perspective can alter the apparent speed of a target. Compare the same physical mouse travel first, then decide whether a different visual feel needs a personal adjustment.
Apex Legends and Deadlock also keep some aiming controls separate from their base horizontal setting. This tool does not calculate a monitor-distance match, a scoped multiplier, controller aim or vertical sensitivity. Apply the result to the named setting, then evaluate those other controls independently.
To verify the transfer, mark a starting point on the mousepad and move horizontally until the camera completes a turn. Repeat in both games with acceleration and game-specific modifiers accounted for. If space is limited, compare half-turns using half the reported cm/360 distance. Menu rounding can cause a small mismatch; a large mismatch calls for checking DPI, the input unit and game settings.
Apex Legends to Deadlock FAQ
How do I convert Apex Legends sensitivity to Deadlock?
At the same DPI, multiply your Apex Legends sensitivity by 0.5. For two different DPIs, also multiply by source DPI divided by target DPI. This matches horizontal hipfire turn distance under the stated game settings.
What is 1.5 Apex Legends sensitivity in Deadlock?
1.5 at 800 DPI converts to approximately 0.75 Deadlock sensitivity at 800 DPI, for 34.64 cm/360 before menu rounding. These are worked examples, not professional-player recommendations.
Does changing DPI change the result?
Yes. Enter the original DPI and New DPI separately. For linear scales, doubling the target DPI halves the target sensitivity. For an offset or non-linear slider, use the calculated result instead of halving the menu number.
Does this also convert FOV, ADS or scopes?
No. The tool matches horizontal hipfire rotation, not screen-space movement or zoom. FOV can still change perceived speed even when turn distance is equal. Check each game’s notes before adjusting a scope or a character-specific control.
